The etched mountains are German Mouthblown grey on clear “Flashed” glass. That means the clear glass is layered with a color while it is still molten allowing the colored layer to be etched away or engraved upon if the artist chooses. The border features mouthblown clear and grey varieties of German glass. The bottom border showcases repurposed rare vintage colored glass pieces. It’s the subtle use of patterns in the glass that really make this piece a thoughtfully created work. The frame is White Oak.
